Our Approach

Reaching the HEART of Performance

Front Range Equine provides Equine Sports Medicine, lameness, acupuncture and chiropractic care that identifies and treats the root cause of your equine partner's performance problem.

Because lameness and loss of performance can be caused by a multitude of problems, we take a comprehensive, holistic approach to every case. Correct, timely diagnosis is the key to the best possible outcome. Our strategy begins by studying all available patient history provided by you and your primary care veterinarian. We then approach each problem with a “from scratch” attitude, evaluating every relevant aspect of your horse’s performance issue. We combine your horse’s history with our knowledge and experience and use state-of-the-art diagnostic techniques and equipment to create a “clinical picture” of your horse’s problem. Our goal is to identify the root cause of the problem and to prescribe an effective treatment and rehabilitation plan. With your approval, we then treat your horse on-site.

If special off-site treatment is required, we act as an advocate for you and your horse to ensure cohesion of care. By creating and evaluating your horse’s clinical picture, we guide you and your horse through any external specialty treatment. We will work with you and your primary care team—your primary care veterinarian, your trainer and your farrier—to implement a seamless plan of care to return your horse to its peak performance.

Proper diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation are paramount to achieving the best recovery outcome... Throughout this process, we are focused on getting the diagnosis right—reaching the heart of the performance problem—so that we are treating the problem(s) and not spending your time or money treating symptoms.

Holistic Approach with Defined Focus

Because lameness and sports injuries can be caused by many issues, we look at the entire health history and the entire horse to identify the root cause of its problem. By using state-of-the-art-diagnostic equipment and techniques to identify the root cause of a problem, and by then combining our advanced training in diagnosis with leading-edge treatment options, we can zero in on the root cause of the problem and effectively treat it rather than its symptoms.

Continual training, education, and research enable us to stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and techniques essential to maintaining or restoring your equine partner to its peak performance. We are committed to cause—not symptom-based care.

Team Approach

To ensure the best care, we work with you and your existing primary care team—veterinarian, trainer and farrier. Our highest priority is enabling your team to help your equine partner reach its highest level of health and performance. Communication and collaboration with everyone on your team allow us to do just that. If your horse’s  problem requires additional medical input, our mobile equipment enables us to share diagnostic images via the wireless Internet with referring or consulting veterinarians throughout the world.

On-Site Diagnosis and Timely Treatment

Our mobile clinic comes to you. ON-SITE diagnosis and treatment often reduces recovery time and accelerates the patient’s return to function, without unnecessary scheduling delays or costly travel to veterinary hospitals—which entails the risk of loading or in-transit harm to your equine partner.

We are committed to cause - NOT symptom - based care.

Our goal is to keep or restore your equine athlete to its peak performance.

We do that by getting to the heart of the performance problem.
