Allison Lancaster

Rehabilitation Assistant

To her parents' dismay, Allison never outgrew her “horse phase.” What began as a childhood fascination quickly evolved into a lifelong passion when she started riding lessons at age six. From that moment on, she pursued every opportunity to be around horses—shadowing veterinarians, interning with a local trainer, and even serving on the rodeo royalty.

These early experiences inspired Allison to pursue a degree in Animal Science from Colorado State University. While at CSU, she worked as a stallion technician and student researcher at CSU’s Equine Reproduction Laboratory for two breeding seasons. After graduation, she joined SAW Ranch Stallion Station in Loveland, Colorado, as an equine breeding specialist. There, she cared for stallions, broodmares, and foals, and played a key role in preparing yearlings for annual sales.

Although Allison valued her time in equine reproduction, she felt a deeper calling toward equine welfare and rehabilitation. Driven by a heartfelt commitment to improving the lives of horses, she strives to leave every animal in her care better than she found it. Allison is proud to be part of the team at FREP, where she works alongside others who share her dedication to supporting the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of every horse.
