Throughout her college career she continued riding competitively and was a member of the Cornell Intercollegiate Horse Show Association varsity team.

Dr. Finazzo remained in Ithaca for veterinary school and graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. As a 4th year veterinary student, Dr. Finazzo achieved certification in acupuncture from Colorado State University, where she met Dr. Marshall-Gibson.

After obtaining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Finazzo completed a one-year internship at Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center in New Jersey.
