About Dr. Louise Batt
Dr. Louise Batt grew up in the U.K. competing in show jumping and one day eventing until college. She attended the University of Bristol for veterinary school and graduated in 2007. She then crossed the pond and completed a rotating large animal internship at Colorado State University. In 2008, she continued as an ambulatory clinical teaching assistant while she achieved her Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates® (ECFVG®) certification.
Dr. Batt then worked for a private practice in southern Colorado for several years. It is here that she developed her interest in Equine Dentistry and pursued further training in it. Dr. Batt went on to found High Country Veterinary Services in Steamboat Springs, CO in 2013 and runs a successful equine practice with a special interest in equine dentistry.
Dr. Batt is passionate about horse welfare and oral health is integral to this. She is committed to providing the best dental care for your horse and has therefore undertaken much further study and training in equine dentistry at wetlabs and conferences over the years.

When not working, Dr. Louise enjoys spending time with her Husband and farrier, Aaron, and her three boys Owen, Austin and Henry.
